Lent - A Time of Renewal and Introspection
Lent is a time of year when we are offered a chance to pause, a time to reflect on our walk with God and our journey on a common path called earthly life.
I think it is a great gift. We so often are overly busy with the demands of our 21st century life: work, meetings, basketball games, shopping, cooking, cleaning, that we become "Human Doings" instead of "Human Beings".
As Human Beings we recognize that were are a part of this world, but also a part of the next. Lent gives us an opportunity to make sure that we are spending our time and efforts wisely to ensure that we are constantly striving toward and preparing for the Kingdom to come.
I hope your Lenten Journey is filled with moments of awareness - and chances to make adjustments to your spiritual and earthly paths.
